Happy Halloween ya'll

I tried to put up photos of my costumes but this stinkin' stupid site has decided to freeze on me. I'll try to download tomorrow.
In the meantime I hope you had a wonderful and safe Halloween time.
We had 30 kids come over to our place. There was Wolverine and the Thing and Princess' galore. Everyone was so sweet and nice and they loved what we were giving out. Namely Chocolate, lollipops and cans of soda!
It was a huge hit and there was even this really cute kid who crawled on his knees to get a can of Pepsi. Although this cute kid was 39 years old and had a hankering for that quench in his throat.
Heres hoping that the site will let me download these pics. They are really good.

pics of our trip to the Shell Factory

Cheese Factor aside Shell Factory is fun

Today I woke up at 9 am and realized that it was 8 am.
Ohh I likey!
So what do ya think I did? I woke Mom up too. HEHEHEHEHE
After she condemns me to Hell, we figure we'll make use of the extra hour.
We start at Cracker Barrel cause they have this oh so good oatmeal that you can only get before 10 pm and since we usually don't leave the house until that time, we never get the opportunity to sample that fine cuisine. After that we head into the ACE Hardware to pick up a few items we need. Some Caulking and some tile sealant cause the tiles in the shower came undone last night and a closet organizer cause my mom's clothes rod just crumbled under the pressure of the amount of clothes she has. After that we went to Walgreens and the Dollar Store to pick up a few items. (never shop at the dollar store cause A.) they never have what you want and B.) you can probably fine it somewhere else for like 80 cents). I found what I needed at Walgreens so we went home to drop off all our new found treasures.
I decided to caulk the shower since I had an extra hour to play with so there I am in the shower peeling off all the dead tiles and scraping off the old gunk still attached to them. I found rotten wood underneath so I scraped it clean and packed a plastic bag to cover up the extra hole left by the rotten wood. I started to caulk up the wall putting piece by piece of the tile until the job was done. Then I turned around and sealed up the bathroom counter tops that were coming loose.
After that I decided to take Mom out to see what Punta Gorda had to offer. We were looking for some sort of Halloween thing cause we were all decked out in our Halloween gear, but alas there were none to be found.
So since we were on 441 anyway, we decided to take a ride to the famous Shell Factory that mom had talked about before.
From Punta Gorda to the Shell Factory was about 30 miles but I didn't know this until I was driving and driving for like days. Along the way I saw this place called Scarecrow Farms that I told Mom we'd visit on the way back home. We were driving for so long that we hit Del Prado in Cape Coral where Dottie lives and then I said "Mom we had to miss it." "It huge you can't miss it" she says so I decide to stop in to the local Hess gas station to find out. Of course the man behind the counter says "Oh it's about a mile up...you can't miss it". Low and Behold just a few more minutes and I turn a bend and BAM!!!! there it is as bright as day. You really can't miss it.
We park the car and walk into the place. It is cheese personified people and a definite tourist trap. 15 bucks for a little blue shell and that was cheap. Anything I picked up was astronomically expensive. But I found out that the Glass Blower was the reason Mom wanted to come so we went to see him.
Guess what we found? The pottery lady making a vase and when we asked her where the glass blower guy was she mentions that his behavior has been a bit erratic lately. (just like an artist ;)
They had these damn cute pumpkins made of glass that I kept picking up but never bought. Probably because they cost 30 bucks a pop, but more than likely because the glass blower guy wasn't there. I'm a sucker for art that I can't do myself.
Well after we walked around a bit looking at all the cute cheesey things, we decide to take off.
Back towards Punta Gorda to get a bite to eat at Fisherman's Wharf. But along theway we pop into Scarecrow Farms to see all the cute Scarecrows. It was perfect since we were dying to see a Halloween theme today. Driving into this spooky, backwoodsy part of town, all we saw was a quick disappointment. No scarecrows just a funky cowboy gate.
Back on the road again till we hit the Wharf and lunch/dinner at our fav little spot there. The place Norma, Martiza, Mom and I saw the sunset...Village Fish Market and Restaurant. Great place; excellant food.
Finally we decide to head back home cause Mom is just plum worn out!
Needless to say she's sleeping as I write this with still an extra 45 minutes to spare.
That Extra hour really came in handy this day!!!! What do you think. ;)

Caribbean Cowboy has done it again!!!

Mom and I went to that restaurant again Caribbean Cowboy and had another fantastic time.
She had the Sirloin and I had the New York Strip. Her Sirloin was Grain Fed Mid Western meat while mine was Black Angus. If you know me you know I love Black Angus but Mom's Mid Western steak was so much better. What's the world coming to when Black Angus isn't the best?
We had some King Crab legs along with the steaks and they were top notch! Now that was what Crab Legs should be everytime you have them!
My waitress was spot on perfect and when I told her what drink I wanted she said it came with something. I wasn't sure what she said so I let it go. What I ordered was called a Green Flash and it was Rum, Melon liquor and pineapple juice. Damn that drink was GOOD!!!
Anyway when the waitress dropped off the drink she mentioned that she ran out of Lei's.
BING BING BING!!! That was what she said, that my drink came with a Lei! Well Mom blurts "well I guess you're not getting Lei'ed tonight". The look on the waitress' face was priceless. At the end of the meal when she brought the check I turned to her and said "you know the next time I'm here you owe me a Lei". She just laughed and walked off. Didn't know if she thought it was cute but I just couldn't help myself.
Mom was wearing this funky Halloween outfit my sister Rose made her and she said that Rose probably forgot she even made it and that Rose thought she would never wear it. SOOO.... that's the picture you see and that's me enjoying that Green Flash!
One last thought, I wanted to take Mom to a haunted House tonight but she nearly freaked when I mentioned it. Seems she can watch a scary movie no problem but when it come to Haunted Houses she's a Hell No!!!! Says she doesn't like when they touch you and grab you. Who would guess she's scared of that?

Farm boys a plenty at Hunsader Farms Festival

Lots of crafts and games galore were at the 15th annual Pumpkin Festival at the Hunsader Farms!
Mom lasted about 5 minutes before she gave up! I had her sitting by the Country Western Bands playing in the Boggie Barn.
You can see one of the farm boys standing by it there.
His t-shirt says Generation X - Two Words - S*ck It
Nuff said. ;)

Sunday in the mall with Mom

We went to see the grudge but you'll have to pop over to mr movie buff for that.
What I wanted to talk about was all my wonderful shopping deals I managed to rape out of Marshalls.
That really is the best store around.
I didn't even have any plans of buying anything but when I went in there it was like Holloween Heaven. Mom and I were gonna wait till after Halloween to buy stuff for next year but the deals were unbelievable.
I bought a Mummy Statue that is so freaking cool looking. I also bought this tin structure of Pumpkins that is so charming. Along with it I bought some lights that have pumpkins, cats and ghosts. And you just goota see the skeleton that is crawling outta the ground. It's just the head, the arms and the legs where you put stakes into them and have it "Crawling outta the ground". Very cute.
Along with that I purchased 3 costumes cause they were dirty cheap. All 3 costumes were originally 50 dollars each. I got them for 20 bucks each.
They are Darth Vader, a Clone Trooper and a full Gorilla costume.
Can't wait to put the gorilla costume on and scare my mom. HEHEHEHEHE
I know I'm a nasty rotten bastard. DOn't worry I won't give her a heart attack. At least I hope I don't. (Pinky finger to tip of mouth, Laugh out loud like Dr. Evil)
Guess you'll have to come back here to find out.

Oh What a Feeling!!!!!

I say that because I saw Jennifer Beals in Grudge 2 this weekend and it was so nice to see her. Go over to my movie blog for a really cute and funny story. http://mrmoviebuff.blogspot.com
So I had a great weekend. It started with a phone call from Marc that I've talking to from an on line site. I really wanted to get out of my glut as I feel I've fallen into since I've come up here.
Now let me explain what I mean cause in no way do I regret moving here.
I just want a simple life and I know it exists because I see it all the time. I listen to it constantly. I feel it when I'm with it.
That's why I'm in a glut. It's that simple.
Well Marc and I met on Saturday and it started out with a major problem.
I have a nack for taking a shower daily and brushing my teeth twice a day. It's a routine so I really don't have to think about it. I just simply do it.
Well what happens when you deviate from that routine. More than likely your forget to do that said task.
On the way to Marc's is when I remembered that I forgot to BRUSH MY TEETH!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Can you imagine the horror that went through my mind. I was right on time so I didn't want to mess that up by turning around going back home and brushing my teeth.
Suddenly I had all these ideas flying around in my head. I could run into his bathroom find his toothpaste and "Finger Brush" or I could mask it with a drink and some food.
I was just terrified that he would want to kiss me and I would have to turn him down letting him think I wasn't interested or worst kiss him with my mouth uncleaned.
I settled with buying a pack of Ice Breakers Liquid Ice these little balls of liquid mint. I could've chosen from a slew of countless mints but of course I wanted the little blue balls in my mouth. ;)
We had a wonderful time. He was ever the gentleman and I was at my best behavior. The mints were working fine but then he handed me my drink and I knew the alcohol would kill any germs in there.
We talked a bit then decided to go grab a bite to eat. (He's a eater too. yay!)
He was talking about this cool restaurant he took his parents to but due to low attendance they closed early. I mentioned that we could go back another day...letting him know I was interested in seeing him again.
We ended up going to Carraba's and eating a pair of Filet's. Very nice.
The night ended with us actually gazing into the night sky looking at the stars. And there was a cloud flowing across the sky that looked like the Milky Way. Very romantic.
"Opps where were those damn mints at again. We might kiss here?"
Lucky for me we decided to head back indoors where we said goodnight with a hug and a soft kiss on the cheek.
Hope that's doesn't mean he just wants to be friends. ;)
I made sure to call him the next night and tell him a had a wonderful time and look forward to our next date...Which just so happens to be Tuesday where he wants to go workout at this brand new Gold's Gym. That's NB's gym so if I become a member I'll go workout with him when in Miami.
I was so happy with our first date and can't wait to see if I can remember to brush next time so that I can take him in my arms and plant a wet juicy one.
And I think I'll take my little blue balls with me...and the mints too. ;)

Me -n- Miami...What a team!

I have so much to say it's hard to know where to begin so I'll just start with the beginning.
After 11 months of maternity hell I finally popped outta my mom's womb...Oh ya didn't wanna go back THAT far.
ok so I'll just do the last couple days.
First and foremost, Leela's new home is un-frakkin'-believable! Her home is something that most people work up to not a home you get on your first time. How she got so lucky is simply knowing the source. There's a reason she's called Lucky Leela.
Her kitchen was done up with all the latest greatest including crown molding along the cabinet tops. Her dining room had the cutest high top table and chair set that allowed you to see the giant 56' screen tv over the heads of anyone sitting on the flawless sofa recliners.
The ceiling in the living room stands 2 stories high and yes it's a townhouse with 2 bedrooms and 2 bathrooms.
Listen I could go on and on so lets just say it's flawless and leave it at that. ( did i mention the 2 balconies.)
OK OK let's move on.
I had a wonderful time as always and it was so nice seeing NB, Dean, Deese, Ernie, Tiff, Raisa and Charlie and most of all George who I hadn't seen in a way long time.
It was real fun meeting up with him at the local Welcome Home to find a gift for Leela's Housewarming. Running around the store and bouncing back and forth looking at all the cute nik-nacks was very entertaining. George actually said that he was leaving in 5 minutes if we don't find something soon. Well what we ended up with turned out to be the best gift of the night. (way to go Georgie Poo)
NB of course wanted to stay the whole night saying it felt so "homey", ut he always feels like that. I just think he should buy a little shack in the Carolina Mountains and live a life like that chick from Men In Trees, you know Ellen's Ex. That won't happen though cause he way to comfortable where he is.
The night ended very sweetly and Leela and I went to bed together in the same bed cause she forgot to bring extra sheets and blankets. Silly girl you. ;)
After many hours of wild passionate...Sleep, we woke to face the morning after.
I don't remember who suggested it, but thanks to Jesse we had a brand new waffle iron that was screaming WAFFLE TIME.
Four hours later we were ready to go out for the day. We wanted to go to the new Carnival Center in Miami that just opened but after driving in Eric's Impala with Dean on one side and NB on the other for 2 hours, we decided that Miami can take their new center and shove it so far up their @$$...
OK I'm better. But I really wanted to see that damn building after waiting like 3 years for them to finish it. Well Leela says she's gonna try to get me Nut Cracker tickets so we'll see.
We ended up in Coral Gables for Oktoberfest and this German place called Frick and Fracks or some shit like that. Ourt waitress was so not into working that night that she had our food sent to the wrong table. I called her over and I mentioned this small fact and she went to the table and told the people off saying " didn't you see this wasn't your food." The poor guy eating Eric's veal hamburgers looked so confused. After that we ended up getting 50% off our food and still paying 40 bucks a person! Coral Gables is very high class.
I ended up having a great time anyway and I went back to Leela's for my last night.
I ended up building her Christmas Village that her mom gave her and WOW what a beautiful village. There were 2 elfs playing leap frog and one is bending over with his @$$ in the air while the other one has his two hand infront of him ready to jump. Well you can just image what it looks like and me and Leela just broke out LMAO.
While I was there Eric and Dean were putting surround sound on Leela's enormous TV.
When I heard the movie Hostel on you just knew I had to go check it out. You remember that story when I saw that movie with my mom. Nightmare revisited.
Well I really jump out of my seat at one point cause that sound system rocked!!!! Well done Eric!
The next day I left but first met up with NB for breakfast at Berry's. LOVE THAT PLACE!
Now came the fun part cause Dottie was in Cape Coral with Mom and They were gonna meet up with me halfway on Alligator Alley. That was a bit complicated as I had no idea where it was she wanted to meet up. But rest easy, I didn't leave Mom behind. She's right here right now.
On the way home though we stopped off at this Outlet Mall on exit 128 and I-75. This place is so frakkin' totally awesome and I have to go back. I am so in love with the hot Kenneth Cole guy too that sold me 4 pairs of shoes for an amazing 100 bucks. Yes my power for finding unbelievable sales strikes again. Just ask Eric.
Seems I didn't even know the guy was hitting on me until my mom told me. I was looking real good that day I guess cause other individuals were also giving me that "look".
Damn I gotta see if I can get back there to see if my Hottie Kenneth Cole Guy is still interested.
Anyway we made it home but not before eating at Golden Corral which I've been waiting to try and damn am I glad we did. I ate myself sick, but what a way to go.
All in all I had a terrific time and would love to go back. Maybe to go see that Nut Cracker show.
Or maybe I'll head back to the Outlet Mall. this time with Leela coming up here.
Only time will tell.

Mom's nightmarish scare

Let me tell you a story.
It starts when I decide to let my mom use my cell to call Dottie and my sis Toni, since we took off our long distance on the house phone. I called her to let her know that I was on my way home (like I always do) and that I needed to stop by the store to get Leela's housewarming gift.
(No I won't say what it is just in case Leela's watching). I took the opportunity to get some gas while I was at it. (It's down to 2.20 in North Port and dropping fast.) I finish up and head home.
The first thing I notice when I get home is the cat's out running around and the garage door is ajar to let him back in. No problem since this is becoming a routine with Kitty Kitty and Mom.
I enter the house and the first thing I hear is "HELP ME!" The first thing in my mind came out of my mouth as I replied "Help you? What do you need help with?"
When I turn around my mom is crunched over a chair trying to get herself off the ground. What happened to her wouldn't become apparent for another few minutes. The only thing on my mind was helping her get up. Thank God it didn't take too long, as she just got right up.
When she turned around I thought I was seeing things. Her whole body was covered with sauce with a good mixture of blood in there.
We knew that she had to shower to see which was sauce and which was blood so she went to do that.
While she was showering I went to survey the damage. What I found was straight out of a horror movie.
First thing I saw was red. Red all over the white tiled floors. Red all over the walls. Red all over the garage floor. Red all over the boxes inside the garage.
I mean there was red all over everything! And some of it was blood.
I didn't even know where to start so I just simply didn't.
I waited until she was done in the shower to see if we neede to go to the hospital. Well after see something protruding out of her arm near her elbow, I knew we had to go to the emergency room.
This was around 6 pm when all this happened and by the time we left the hospital it was around 10 pm. Not bad considering an average wait time in emergency rooms across the state.
The whole experience inside the emergency was rather quick for us as they did all their tests and such. Like Xrays and tetanus shots , but the worst part was sitting next to this poor lady who was just crying and screaming the whole time. The nurse couldn't give her any pain medication until the doctor saw her and the poor thing was there all by herself. She was from Rhode Island where her kids were, but she came here and was by herself here. Very sad that we had to leave her but she did finally get her pain killers.
The doctor was real nice and he stitched my mom's arm up pretty nicely. I say that cause I was sitting right there while he was digging around inside her skin probing for this chunk of glass that lodged itself in there. Most people would freak out but I've always been able to deal with blood and cuts and medical stuff without freaking out. Guess I really should have been a doctor. (my hand writing is so bad that people tell me I should've been a doctor.)
After that whole ordeal we had to come home and clean up the mess.
Suffice to say that today I'm feeling a bit fatigued would be an understatement.
Mom is doing fine and she'll be heading East with me to go to Miami this weekend. But first she'll be stopping off in Cape Coral to visit Dottie on Saturday and Sunday she and Dottie will be heading into Miami.
I'll let ya'll know what happens in Miami and keep you updated on my mom's arm.
For now just know that all is well.
