News for our Soldiers

I just heard something that has me so shocked that I to put it out there to see how many other people knew this.
It seems that our soldiers that are fighting for us over seas have to pay for all their belongings.
Now before I continue I wanted to say that at least 3 people that I work with did not know this and I work with 5 with one of them being a mother of a soldier!
So you might be saying...Pay for their belongings? What does that mean?
Well image your a soldier getting ready to be shipped over seas to defend the land of the free and home of the brave but you need a uniform to fight in.
Well don't worry cause Uncle Sam will pay for that first one and even throw in a couple of underwear and socks.
But say you need another one cause while you're in training camp you get some dirt on your new uniform, and you don't have time to wash your clothes. Well time to pay up cause the second one's on you!
But what's this I hear. You'll need to have a dress uniform also. Pull out the wallet private!
Need a haircut cause you're hair has to be a certain length...Don't worry Uncle Sam has to pay for that...Right?
NOT!
Nope the soldiers have to pay for their haircuts too.
They also have to pay for their socks, boots, toothbrushes, stamps, stationery and everything else they may need!
The only thing they get is that first uniform. Everything else is on them.
I understand in times of peace that the Armed Forces are more of a job than anything and the government does pay our soldiers, but in times of war they should get everything free.
EVERYTHING!
Thank you for your time and letting me vent a bit.
I would love to know your opinion about this so if you just read my blog but don't comment that's fine but this time I would like a comment.
